The next-generation optical network technologies

The researchers of SJTU-area optical-fiber communications network and new-type optical-fiber communications system are undertaking the research in the next-generation optical network technologies.

They had implemented China's first all-optical network testbed by the end of 1998, and their work reached the advanced technology, they also implemented China's first all-optical network testbde for commercial purpose in the middle of 2001, greatly advancing the research and promoting the indrstralization of optical networking technology in China.
