6,000 metre deep-sea towing observation system

In 1999, the sci-tech personnel of the School of Submarine Engineering of SJTU, aiming at reaching the international level in this field, successfully developed the "6,000 metre deep-sea towing observation system", rending great services to the country to enable China to gain the privilege of prospecting and exploiting the multi-metal nuclear-building at the bottom of an area of 75,000 sq km. underneath high seas.
