The low-vacuum electron-beam welding method

Reseachers of the School of Materials Science and Engineering put forward the low-vacuum electron-beam welding method for the first time in the world. Later on, they developed a key component part-"hydraulic variable-pitch device" -to be used on its "BUICK" automobiles for Shanghai General Motors. They have also designed and produced a special-use welding production line involving 7 kinds of welding joints and 6 different welding methods. The rate of their qualified products reaches 25-46 PPM. The line has been put into production.
